About

The Family Friendly Campus site has grown out of the development and implementation of the Family Friendly Campus Toolkit.  The Toolkit was developed by PERG Learning with the advice and guidance of numerous campus advocates. The initial creation of the Toolkit was funded by the US Department of Education, and a substantial revision by the Lumina Foundation.

The Family Friendly Campus website provides information, resources, and community connections for campus advocates working to improve conditions and successful outcomes for parenting students in higher education.

Becoming a member of the Family Friendly Campus is free; we only ask for your name, institution, and email. This way, we can reach out to the community to announce events or new research. (None of your information will be sold or passed along to any third parties). Members will be able to access the Toolkit download, and other community information not available to the public.

We have compiled a list of advisors and their contact information. This group has been instrumental in furthering the work of parenting student advocacy, and are deeply involved in student parent support on their campuses. They welcome questions and connection from others who are engaged in this field. Additionally, the Resources page contains links to organizations of all types that are contributing to this work.
